About the Course

Quickly prepare to listen to university coursework on the CEF B2 level. Watch interactive videos and listen to engaging lectures as you learn to take effective notes. Each unit focuses on building vocabulary and language necessary to understand academic lectures.

In this course, we will cover six lecture topics about life in the United States. In each unit, we will preview the topic, talk about note taking strategies, learn new vocabulary, listen to the lecture and take notes, and then finish with a quiz. You will also have the opportunity to express your ideas and opinions on two of the topics.

By the end of the course, you will be able to listen and take notes on academic lectures, and understand basic concepts of American thinking.

You will need to pass each unit quiz with a 80% to progress to the next unit. If your score is less than a 80%, you will be able to review the lessons and retake the quiz.

The course follows the textbook Listening & Notetaking Skills 2. You may purchase the textbook on amazon.com
